Ripley’s Aquariums have become the unofficial home for uniquely colored lobsters, with the first couple curiously colored crustaceans being Pinchy, from a Toronto grocery store, in 2021, and Cheddar, from a Red Lobster® restaurant in Hollywood, Florida, in 2022. Orange lobsters like Pinchy and Cheddar are extremely rare – one-in-30 million – because their bright, unusual coloring makes them very attractive to predators.
