In December 1922, Ripley embarked on a four-month-long adventure that would take him around the world for the first time. He would eventually become a member of the exclusive Circumnavigators Club, traveling by train, steamship, army transport, rickshaw, sedan chair, elephant, horse, camel, and on foot!
