Teachers, this is your chance to receive a class a trip to Ripley’s Aquarium of Canada, plus a guided behind-the-scenes tour!

We are now accepting applications for Ripley’s Aquarium of Canada’s Sea Scholars bursary program for the 2026-2027 school year.

The deadline for applications is Wednesday October 21, 2026.

To become a Sea Scholar, teachers should submit an essay, art project, or other presentation demonstrating why their class should be sponsored for a trip to Ripley’s Aquarium of Canada, plus a guided behind-the-scenes tour. Selected classes will be awarded a $250 transportation bursary to be used towards travel costs.

Up to ten classes that demonstrate substantial financial need will be selected.

Creative submissions encouraged!

Woah! The Aquarium sounds like alotl fun! But what are you doing all the way down here with the axolotls – some of the most secretive salamanders in the world?!

Did you know out of more than 800 salamander species that exist, only about 22 can be found in Canada?
