Welcome to Graffiti Reef!
Graffiti Reef draws a connection between Toronto’s street art scene and coral reef ecosystems thousands of kilometres away. Both are built by communities, whether its artists layering paint or coral polyps building reefs, and both thrive on creativity, resilience, and collaboration. It invites visitors to feel that connection, turning a distant underwater world into something that feels local and personal. Check out just a few of the many species that will be on exhibit when Graffiti Reef opens.
Discus
Native to the Amazon River, the discus glides through calm waters with a smooth, almost floating motion. With their vibrant colors and rounded disk-like shape, the discus can alter their color intensity based on mood.
