Homeschool programs include self-paced explorations of the aquarium, with the option to add on a grade-appropriate Workshop.

Homeschooling at the Aquarium!

Ontario Homeschool families are welcome to join us for our Homeschool Days this fall. You can come for a self-guided visit or add on a workshop. Please note that workshop spaces are limited and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

Homeschool Days are back for the 2026-27 school year.

This year we are dividing the workshops into smaller grade ranges and adding an older age range.

Homeschool Days will take place on September 29, October 1, 21, 22, November 18 & 19, and December 16.

Students can attend one workshop per month for an additional cost of $5 plus HST per student.

Don’t want to visit on one of our designated days? Take advantage of our school field trip rates by bringing a group of 10 or more students on any regular school day*. *Must be pre-booked.

Tuesday, September 29 and Thursday, October 1 :
Due to unforseen circumstances, we have had to change the dates of the September dates. Thank you for understanding.

  • Primary Workshop (Grades K-2):
    Sensational Sharks: 10:30 a.m. and 12:00 p.m.

  • Junior (Grades 3-5):
    Amazing Algae: 10:30 a.m. and 12:00 p.m.

  • Intermediate (Grades 6-8):
    Plankton Challenge: 1:30 p.m.

Wednesday, October 21 and Thursday, October 22:

  • Primary Workshop (Grades K-2):
    My Own Aquarium: 10:30 a.m. and 12 p.m.

  • Junior (Grades 3-5):
    Watery Web: 10:30 a.m. and 12 p.m.

  • Intermediate (Grades 6-8):
    Lake Invaders: 1:30 p.m.

Wednesday, November 18 and Thursday, November 19 :

  • Primary Workshop (Grades K-2):
    Creatures Undercover: 10:30 a.m., 12 p.m., and 1:30 p.m.

  • Junior (Grades 3-5):
    Squid Dissection (8 years+) [Grades 3–6]: 10:30 a.m., 12 p.m., and 1:30 p.m.

Wednesday, December 16 :

  • Primary Workshop (Grades K-2):
    My Own Aquarium: 10:30 a.m. and 12 p.m.

  • Junior (Grades 3-5):
    Stabili-Sea: 10:30 a.m. and 12 p.m.

  • Intermediate (Grades 6-8):
    What's In the Water: 1:30 p.m.

*Maximum Workshop capacity is 25 (Including adults).
